CSI Fic: Communion

Jun 14, 2005 22:52

While I bash away at the Crossover Fic from Hell, the boys in the back room took pity on me and because the boys are kind of jerks, the idea they sent me was; what would Grissom's reaction be if he were to find out about the Greg/Sara dynamic I've created in my previous two fics set in the same verse The Shape Of Happiness and This Thing We Have? ( ( Read more... )

Did you see the wankery I wandered into? Man oh man oh man...

I love fandom sometimes.

Well the audacious grand arc would be me trying to stretch and try things as a writer, for which I have you to thank. In my mind, this fic takes place some months after the events of the last one. I think Sara would be a little more comfortable showing affection for Greg at work--provided she thought they were alone. Like they were in the garage. And when it came to mixing with the team again, Sara would morph back into all business gal.

Somehow I can't see Greg being cruel enough or having the guts to do that to Grissom so blatantly but it's interesting that you found hints of that there. I think if Greg were to act on those kinds of feelings it would almost have to be unconsciously.

Thank you for your feedback. You know how much I value it, one of the things that was in the back of my head was--what will Matthew think?--when I posted, as you hadn't betaed this one. You set the mark I try to surpass when I write, if that makes any kind of sense.

Love and Hugs

As to whether Greg is that cruel? No, but he might easily be that thoughtless, that "push till it breaks then check out the pieces" curiosity he has can cause issues.

If we all had control of our feelings and actions, we wouldn't spend so much time trying to make amends.

BTW, I have gone back to reviewing at GF. MY reviews, MY way. This should be fun, neh?

Mmm I dunno, I think he's matured a bit.

Oh what do I know I'm sick and stressed and just told my class to shut up! *tears out hair*

So I get the pushed till you break thing...I really do. I need to go home and cry but I can't because I have to cook an authentic medieval dinner for thirty people tonight so I'll just sign up for the migraine now.

*burrows into you and weeps*

I hate this job today.

Do you review fic before it's posted or only after? Because you are a great beta.

Great Malleable Lumps of Steaming Tongue, You Chinese Think of Everything! reverendkilljoy June 16 2005, 21:19:33 UTC
*pats* There there... there there...

I will review, pre or post-pub, for anyone who requests it politely and accepts the comments in the spirit in which they are meant...

Also, starting this morning I am again commenting over at Geek Fiction. Wonder how long that can last, eh? We'll see.

I WAS amused to see, under the "Why i love Geek Fiction" thread that everyone writes such helpful reviews. So, helpful= non-threatening or even critical. got it. Okay, I'm done being bitchy. For now.

Anyway, happy to read something. For you? or are you referring a friend? Either way, pas de problema, chica.

No nothing up at the moment but it's helpful to know I've got you tucked in a back pocket for later.

I saw that and read your reviews. I thought they were fair and helpfully constructive. In a non threatening yet critical way (critical meaning "to critique").

And I fucked up the food. Medieval cooking is mad retarded and I hate it. But I don't give a fig, Hey nonny nonny no.
