And it's barely 9:30 in the morning.

Was awakened at 6:30 by my mom's voice, loud, repeating information and sounding panicked. I went out (even though technically I wasn't supposed to since the last digits I saw before I fell asleep were after midnight and that means a warning for a seizure with lack of sleep BUT) and found that my dad was apparently having chest pain, sharp chest pain. And that the ambulance was on its way. My mom asked who he wanted to follow in the car and he said, "The kids," so I turned around back into my bedroom and threw clothes on. The bra snapped on just as the lights flashed in our driveway.

They came in and did an EKG (neat little thing, works kinda like the new AED machines, tells you what to do and gives you a read-out right there and then), checked his blood pressure and blood, and found nothing wrong with his heart. No heart attack right there or imminent, and they cautioned that while they're not doctors, they didn't think he'd have one. Then he explained about the upper body exercises he's been doing and yeah, they figured that was it. My dad calmed down, everyone took a deep breath, and he said he'd go to see his real doctor instead of the hospital. Which he just left to do with my little brother.

As soon as the excitement was over, all I had to do was tell my mom, "I didn't sleep until near midnight," and heard an immediate, "BED." So I tumbled back into my room, kicked off my flip-flops, and fell into bed and sleep. Woke up just in time to see my dad and little bro take off for the doctor, which was...ten minutes ago. I'd wager.

So you know those whole, "If you decide to begin a regiment of exercise, please consult your physician" things? Do it. My dad failed to apparently mention this to his doctor last time, that he was going to start exercising again. So yes, please consult your physician, or else you wind up thinking you're having a heart attack and waking everyone in the family with the terrible prospect of going to the hospital and following behind flashing lights (Oh god, that just occured to me. 0_o)

I'm still considering going back to bed, because I'm spotting several spelling mistakes and my eyes are drooping. God.
