Movie Review: Clash of the Titans

A CGI Galore based on Greek Mythology

I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got a chance to see this movie. I thought it might have just been graphics, or deviated from the popular myths so much as to annoy, but I loved how the myths were kept in tact and woven together right from the Medusa's stare to Zeus and his bolt of lightening.

A lot is said about the relationship of man with the gods, and how man fights for one another, whereas the Gods fight for immortality. Here, Gods are sinful, self centered and violent creatures and man must deal with their every whim. Zeus has a hint of humanity when he shows his concern for his demigod son, but it's the humans who you route for when the final scene is at hand.

My favorite character was Lo, played by Gemma Arterton.

Cursed with eternal youthfulness, she has to watch all those she loves die around her. This actress did a wonderful job looking young but wise. Her stoic composure and slight smiles were perfect for the character. And she even kicks some butt in the scorpion scene. I love strong woman characters.

Overall, if you're looking for adventure, staggering visual effects, and a slew of Greek Myths all tied together, then you'll enjoy Clash of the Titans.
