iSell Penny-Tees Thoughts

Before youtube decides to grace the world with the new iDo (and iStart a Fanwar promo) I can watch... have some iSell Penny Tee thoughts?

Liked:

- The pre-credits scene! For a few reasons, actually. We've got Gibby, Guppy, the trio AND Spencer. It says a lot that everyone was there and included and on-camera - iCarly as a webshow has come a long way from just Sam and Carly and their own particular humor, they're utilizing everyone else too, trusting their webshow, expanding, and such. A real family sort of atmosphere. ALSO we are reminded of all the past exploits of our gang through the fan of hammers and techfoots. I like when the past is not ignored. :) Plus - pre-credits scenes are always the best. Always!

- The whole child labor issue. I don't necessarily like that it happened, but to be honest, of COURSE Sam is going to scam kids - but what impressed me was how in-depth it was, and how they dealt with it, really. It was legit 1900s child labor, and then being a stupid, too nice employer, and I feel like they did a really good job of it.

- I was not expecting ANY sort of recurrance about Sam's crush on Spencer. But what does she do? She tries to compare her cousin to Spencer's newest 'dream girl.' Which reads: 'I can be sort of like that (through family) ... can't I? I'm good enough, right?' PLUS - the way she said it. OH MY GOSH Jerry and Jennette are in love, and they just decided they wouldn't hold back on it on-camera any longer. Thank goodness iCarly is using this gold. :)

- I sort of feel like their penny-tee popularity and how much they were selling them for was a sort of real pat on the back for the trio. Because their penny-tees are super funny and awesome, and if there's any iCarly merchandise people would want - that would be it.

- The continued non-suckage of Gibby's inclusion! Congrats. :)

Nothing else really comes to mind. Although, I only watched it once, maybe twice.

Disliked:

- Why, why, WHY do tweendom shows always feature little brats/kids/ younger people who are SO easily duped to begin with, and then always give the main characters their comeuppance? I DO NOT LIKE IT. I'm not saying the main characters should get off scot-free, but to completely unhinge their business and hire writers to come up with penny-tee slogans? That's too much of a jump for me. TOO FAR.

- The whole foreign person who speaks no English but it involved in a relationship and the person is so enamored with them theme/plot/storyline? MEH. It is SO overdone, and this revision of it wasn't even funny.

- No, Spencer. You should not ask a girl to go to Las Vegas and also pay for the trip after like, four dates. Just - no.

- I saw the whole "stealing the girl" bit the second that guy walked in the room. I mean, honestly. Most unoriginal plot EVER - not just in comedy, or tweendom, but drama too. EVERY KIND OF GENRE EVER does this, and this was no better.

- How can Carly and Freddie have been best friends with Sam for so long and treat her like this? How can they be SO afraid of her? Why are they so fucking critical and mean? Severe dislike.

fandom, episode thoughts, spencer and sam are in love, icarly makes me silly-happy
