Greetings from Meredith, New Hampshire!
Hey Guys!!
Well, here I am in Meredith, NH for the summer. We began rehearsals for Kiss Me, Kate today (I'm playing Kate). It's gonna be a great show, I can feel it! :) The people are all great, everyone's very nice. There's not a lot to do around here, but a few of us got gym memberships yesterday, so that's nice. I'm living in a house with 40 people, actors and technicians. It's an old farmhouse that leaks, the doors are NEVER locked, and there are ants and spiders everywhere! I share a bunkbed with my BFF, Cara. She's from Baltimore, recently graduated from Elon, and has a super duper voice. The house sounds bad, but it really isn't. At first I was super intimidated and overwhelmed by everyone. So many people living in one space, and I didn't know ANY of them. But, you get to know people quickly, and I'm finally opening up and being more myself. Nunsense opens tonight, so that will be fun to go see. Then there's an opening night/beginning of the season party. Not really sure what to expect. This girl won't be drinking. My rehearsals begin at 10:00am for this show instead of the originally planned 9:00am. So that means I can go kick ass in the gym before every rehearsal! I can't wait to really get into the swing of things here. I think time will fly so fast. I am super excited to go back to school, though. "Hair" will be soooo amazing, and I can't wait!! Darin, I wish you were working with me here! There are only a couple of gay guys!! SURPRISE!! They're ALL straight!! Almost all of the guy actors are straight, I'm pretty sure. Weeiirrdd. Anywho, my time on the library computer is limited. Thanks for reading this entire thing if you made it this far. I have to be back at the theatre at 2:00pm to work on my songs and block a scene! yayy! Have great summers, guys, and I'll try to update when I can!
