"Two Surprising Degrees to Avoid:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing..
Another surprise is that architecture, a degree commonly perceived as one with high earnings potential, is actually on the low end in both starting ($42,000 a year) and mid-career average salary ($78,000). With the student loans that accompany a five-year bachelor's program, which an architecture degree usually requires, it's a big investment for a not-so-great return. If design and building are the passion you want to pursue, urban planning and construction management are better options as far as salary potential. A degree in urban planning can lead to a mid-career salary of $82,000, and construction management has an average mid-career salary of $87,000."

Don't ever tell me that I picked the wrong course when your basis is only about money. I don't care about earnings, salaries, loans, or investments in this career.
It's a career, not a job.
Don't ever tell me that if I want to be rich in architecture, it's never going to happen. I am rich with design reason and theory, ideas and imagination. I have my outlet for creativity, branching over all the arts ever conceived through architecture. I can change cultures and influence emotions.
I don't need money to tell others how powerful I am.
Your reasoning is like that of an engineer. Dead and bland. No passion, just logic. To feel and evoke emotion and expression is almost divine. Architecture gives me that bit of divinity. It's the mother of the arts; the arts married to science. This marriage therefore makes impossibilities possible.
I will be an architect. Recession or not, rich or not, passion is what I am living for. Money is the end result; economy is a poor excuse to call any design impossible. Financial means will disappear, but never soul.
Architecture gives soul. Architecture is soul. You will never convince me otherwise.
