Sweet Jesus! The heat did me in, and I just bought an air conditioner. Now I can go from being a victim of the heatwave to a cause of the blackout.
I don't feel bad about it though. I got a window unit, and I'm only going to cool my bedroom when I'm there. I'm not like one of those people in Middle America cooling a 6,000 sq ft. house to 65 degrees all summer. That fucker who made a snide comment about wasting energy as I carried my new unit past the tea lounge can eat my ass (no really, he can. boy was quite attractive)!!
