Yay, someone on IMDb actually has a braincell, and yet again another version of the facts that the press are not bothering to report....

It has made 4.4 million in Spain, 4.2 million in France and 3.7 million in Germany alone. "Australia" is getting mostly rave reviews in Germany, except for "Spiegel Online", which nowadays is pretty useless as a source of information.

And "Australia" has made plus 3 percent in Australia compared to the weekend before:

Absolutely no sign of losing steam there. How funny is that!

The total in Australia is now AUD 25,281,120 after 5 weeks. So it's still a couple of days ahead of Titanic, which took 25.8 million in 6 weeks in 1998. And the best thing of all: "Australia" has replaced "Crocodile Dundee II" as all-time fifth placed Australian movie. The next one to beat will be "Moulin Rouge!" with 27.7 million, which is now a pretty safe bet

Also, BoxOfficeMojo just updated:
Domestic: $44,351,000 49.0%
+ Foreign: $46,200,000 51.0%
= Worldwide: $90,551,000

So yeah, I think it's doing alright, kinda sucks that the AUD profits made is worth half the USD in which this is measured, but what can ya do? Also keep in mind that it was only just released in places like UK and Germany a few days ago, plus is not yet released in other locations until next year.
