NETWORK ENGINEER / IT HELPDESK
Contractor role - 1099
Location - Austin, Texas
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to support its rapidly growing client base. The Network Engineer will provide hands-on support for local and remote clients as well as phone support to clients across the nation.
A candidate interested in this opportunity should be comfortable using and troubleshooting in a Windows server environment as well as having working knowledge of Microsoft Small Business Server 2003, Exchange, SQL, Active Directory, Macintosh, DOS, TCP/IP, network security, switching and routing.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES
• Interact with multiple assigned clients to resolve issues
• Responsible for hardware and software support in Windows Networks
• Responsible for all desktop hardware and software support
• Maintain network and operating system documentation, configuration and updates
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Communicate professionally in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive working environment; Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Be a team player and a self-starter
• Be adaptable. possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate and perform analytical thinking
• Possess excellent organizational and project tracking skills
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• College degree is required
• MSCE certification is preferred but not required
Applicant may be required to work both remotely and onsite and must have reliable transportation.
