I just got promoted.
But wait....
Its quite possibly one of the worst promotions ever. And getting worse as the days go bye.
I got onto the risk management/payments team.
What does that mean? It means i get to learn how to navigate and take care of 3 additional databases, listen to credit card, fraud, wire transfers, and payment problems by even more highly irate customers than the regular calls i take. But wait, i also get to take my regular calls as well. But wait, i just got out of rookie camp, so i barely know what i'm doing as it is.
But wait. The training was 6 hours that didn't make any sense, and the trainer kept saying "don't worry, just ask your shadower/it'll all make sense when you shadow on friday"
BUT WAIT - today, they cancelled our shadowing, and instead decided to just drop us into the escalated payments cue!
oh and the next two weeks is going to be hell cause its the holidays, and we have mandatory overtime (10 hours atleast).
yeah, and the ringer, my friends, is that ....
