Even though the gods are crazy, even though the stars are blind...

This week has been accompanied by so much great music news.

First, Kathleen told me that Newsboys are going to be at Ichthus. This is huge for me. I love Newsboys and haven't seen them since I was a sophomore. That's like...forever.

Second, I saw that John Reuben is playing at the Icon in March. So, I know I most likely won't be able to find anyone to go to this show with me, but I'm still excited at the prospect.

Third, Ben Folds is playing at my school. I don't know if I could be any more excited about this.

I still don't have a job though. It pained me to buy groceries today.

Last night, a bunch of us went to a show at the Icon. The first band was just bad. I can't even begin to describe how ridiculous it was. Then Damiera, and although I still don't love it, I appreciate them a little more everytime I see them. And I see them often. They were followed by Portugal the Man, who I loved. They were slightly reminiscent of the White Strips, in that they were very deliberate about their drumming, and beats. I love beats. Then was Fall of Troy. I didn't hate it. So, overall it was a good night. It was nice to be out of Delavan for a minute too. I still don't understand the college=alcoholic thing, but to each his own I guess.

Now I'm making bread. I can be very domestic sometimes. I'll probably clean all of next weekend.

I'm tired.

Oh yeah, Barack Obama is officially running. This is going to be a crazy race. The dems are up around 8 candidates right now, and we are still almost 2 full years out. Crazy. I hope this country is ready because things could start to get wild.
