Tin roof rusted

I just got back from visiting family in the land of sex, drugs, and cornfields. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude toward being raised in the city. These country kids are ignorant and bored. It never turns out well. I had a blast there, but four days is about the maximum.

The primary reason for the visit was to see my grandma. She is living out there now. She had to have hernia surgery right after I was leaving, but before she got them fixed, she made sure I felt them. Do you know where hernias live? That's right. In the crotch. That was too much of my grandma. I guess it's the least I can do. After all, she lets me live in her house, free of charge.

I'm going back to Buffalo in two days. I find it odd that while I am there, I absolutely loathe every minute, but when I'm home, and preparing to go back, I have mixed feelings. I always think it has the potential to be different, but I am perpetually let down.

Maybe this time will be different.

My car needed a bunch of really expensive maintenance recently, and I was just going to ignore it. But then I told my aunt who told my dad, who offered to pay for it. Sweet. He also gave me some extra money to buy clothes. I now own two pairs of pants that fit.

I also got the bargain of the week on Tuesday. I bought a really cute jacket at GAP. I paid $10. It was originally $68.

There is also this other really cute jacket at Old Navy, but it is $30, so I probably won't get it.

Ronie (my cousin) and I went to Borders while I was visiting and bought a Portuguese language book and cd set. We decided that it will be difficult to go if we can't speak. We are going to make Alex (another cousin) learn too, he just doesn't know it yet. When we were checking out, the cashier boy asked if we were sisters. It was the first time that anyone has even thought that I might be remotely related to the portuguese side of my family, and I totally attribute it to the dark hair. It truly makes a difference.

Apparently, dark hair dye causes cancer. Cool.

Coop, Alexis, and I went to the art museum of Wednesday. It was cool, but the Albright-Knox is better. So I guess that makes it Cincinnati 863, Buffalo 1.

We did see Colin there though, so that makes it immensely cooler.

And once again, you can't go anywhere without seeing someone from Walnut. On Wednesday alone I saw Ben Espelage, Colin Brush, Betsy Jones, and Dylan and (his sister) Teske. Crazy.

I have to go now.
I be up in the gym just working on my fitness
He's my witness (oooh, wee)
(Thank you, Fergie)
