Don't look clear, and it's all uphill from here

So you all know what has to follow me sharing pictures of an amusement park. That's right: pinball! Or, more exactly, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, from the league night there at the start of June.

Early hours. League hasn't started yet but people are practicing playing. You can see the ceiling fan going full speed as it was hot.

Pinball Row, with some neon way up top. I don't know if the neon is from anything particular.

And the corner of Pinball Row. I do not know how that guy has a score of 25,000 on Attack From Mars; they must have just hit a single switch so far.

PWT doing some last-minute repairs on a game before league. There's always some game being an issue and here, I believe, it's Toy Story 4. Jersey Jack games like to have all the lights in the world under them and you can kind of see from how much stuff is clinging to the underside there.

So after league I had a pretty good game of Flash. How good? Well ...

550,000 is the ``high score'' --- really the default put into the machine, as a score they figure only the best players will ever get --- and I was so close. I still haven't beaten this, but in fairness to me, neither has anybody else.

When Toy Story 4 was working again bunny_hugger put up a great game. The game attempts to take your picture but, you can see, here it missed and took a picture of the Centipede game over bunny_hugger's shoulder, which I found funnier than she did.

Miscellaneous stuff on the walls by the men's room. For example, the triumphant American tour of George, the Supreme Master of Magic. Featuring a whole carload of scenic effects, so if you need a scenic effect, well, check out this George fellow.

Some more of the coin-ops. ... 'What Every Man Must Do' is a coin-op mechanical that shows you, well, a guy taking his pants off. It's not as thrilling as you might think but part of the fun of these things is seeing how they're not as thrilling as the buildup promises.

I still don't understand Charlie Chaplin in a ... it sure seems like a ship's engine room? Maybe if I ever saw it working it would make sense.

Turns out you can just take a flash photo of the old Chuck E Cheese marionettes, making it possible to see ... uh ... I'm going to say Bananaraven again.

Again, I was not a Chuck E Cheese kid so I don't know who these character are. Last time I said Chicky McChickerson, Grapegoyle, and Hootenbarky, so let's go with that. Anyway you can see they're doing fine and maybe need some help knowing how wide to open their eyes. I have the same problem in pictures.

Trivia: Before 1325, the primary meaning of ``panel'' was a piece of cloth, typically the protective piece under a saddle. By 1378 it had acquired the legal meaning of ``a piece or roll of parchment on which the names of jurors are listed''. This led to its generalization as ``a jury''.
