Light flashes in my eyes
I see you, my only friend.
I take you into my embrace,
And know that now may be the end.
The pain as I hold you
Is almost too much too bear.
But I don’t let go of you,
I would never dare.
The pain pushes deeper,
Until all I see is red.
This can’t go on much longer
For soon I feel I shall be dead.
To all my friends
With whom I’ve shared so much,
I cannot escape this pain I feel,
This cold steel’s clutch.
It enters me, fills me, consumes me
To the breaking point.
It tears my skin, breaks my bones,
Freezes my every joint.
I accept the pain I feel,
Silently screaming in my head.
I let it go deeper into me,
Until all I see is red…
