TOKYO ROCKS!

Well have arrived home in OZ, after a week in Tokyo. Wow, amazing, I saw so much, yet saw so little. I had a list of what I wanted to see and do, before I went, but kept getting sidetracked, so missed at least half of what I wanted to see. I guess I would be no good at organising a holiday with Sho Sakurai, who likes to keep to a tight schedule.

So what would be my highlights, I don't know, I need time to recharge and reflect, but I will say that Tokyo has some of the best Christmas lights I've ever seen. They are everywhere! Other personal highlights were also watching VSA and AniShi, when the whole of Japan sees them. Mind you, my experience of watching AniShi was slightly tarnished by the earthquake that hit Nagano. Of course, the TV warned me, but me not knowing what it was saying, I just passed it off as part of the show, but NO! I was sitting on the bed happily watching the boys in their mascot outfits, when the bed starts moving, windows creaking, the TV shaking and this weird sensation as if I am in a washing machine. Suddenly I start to panic, realising what it was. Now, earthquakes are my second biggest fear, apart from spiders, so watching the rest of AniShi, was a bit of a blur, as my concentration was elsewhere. Not much sleep that night!

My hotel room had a view of Tokyo Tower, which was amazing to look out at everynight! My expedition to Johnny's was just that, an expedition. I had printed 2 versions on how to get there, and knew I had to look for a building with The Playhouse on it. One frigging problem, no bloody building! It's been demolished! Photo attached. Once I realised that, dah, it was so easy to find. But disappointed though, apart from photos, nothing else Arashi was there.

I did get to Fuji TV, again disappointment, only 1 tiny area on VSA. But the Christmas light show at Fuji TV is definately worth making the night trip over for! Actually, whilst I was in Asakusa, I got interviewed by a TV show, on what foreigners think of Tokyo, and what they can improve. I found out at the end it was Fuji TV, and the interpreter, the producer and I all then started talking about Arashi! Don't know what show, but I don't think I want to see myself on TV, yuk! Fatty boombah!!!

So hopefully, these photos will attach, don't know if I know what I'm doing or not. One thing is for sure, I will definately be back, maybe even next year!
