Leave a list of fictional characters in your journal from whom you would like to receive letters. It is your friends' mission, should they choose to accept it, to write to you, in character, a message or letter from the character of their choice.

I think this is so cool! If you have a minute, please do it.

Commodore Norrington-

It is true that I have a high regard for you but I understand the fragility of your heart. You have been treated unfairly in the past and I would be more than happy to be your confidant if you wish to correspond with me on any and all matters of life and your heart.

I wish you the best on your upcoming sea voyage. I know everyone hopes you return safely.

Your friend,
Danielle

Dearest Norrington,

You make me blush something terrible. Thank you for your kind words. I very much enjoy writing to you; there are precious little people here who want to hear my views on life and here you are asking me for my opinions! I can't tell you how liberating it feels.

As much as I love the sea, I have never had the chance to sail out upon it. Perhaps one day I will know how it feels to stand upon a deck and watch the dolphins swim beside the ship.

As to your superior, I am sorry that he does not grasp life the way you do. You are a very intelligent man, if you don't mind me being so bold. Surely he must listen to a Commodore?

If you are so tired of working life, why not retire? You have already reached the ranks of a Commodore; unless you wish to retire a Lord first? I don't blame you; you deserve all the recognition you have worked so hard to earn. I am sure you will get there soon. Until then, hold on.

Stay safe and I hope to hear from you again soon,
Danielle

Dearest James-

You don't mind if I call you James, do you? I will stop if it troubles you.

You would really take me out on the sea? I have never known anyone who was willing to do that for me. Is it not bad luck to have a woman on board?

If you honestly would like to take me, I will be willing at any time. Perhaps we could meet one day soon. I would like to see you again. It has been too long.

With my deepest affections,
Danielle

Twaddle- this is like having a real pen pal back in the day. I love role playing like this. Perhaps, further along, we can turn "Danielle" into a character and post "Norrington's Letters" on ff.net. Wouldn't that be cool? I'm having such fun with this. I hope you will continue to write with me on it!!

YAY. I'm excited. I can't wait to see their love blossom as I'm sure it will- no one can resist my charms! Ha ha. Just kidding.
