Summer Viewing

Figured I'd do a few movie reviews.

So to begin, Bottle Shock because I promised it.

Lately, Alan has graced such movies as those involving pies made out of people and perfume made out of young girls. I'm glad to know the wine was actually from real grapes. Ha ha.

The movie is a MUST SEE if it ever comes around your area. If not, buy the DVD. I promise you won't regret it. The scenery is to die for. The music makes me want to kick everybody involved in NOT producing the soundtrack (WHY??). Alan made me laugh at his quirkiness as usual and did a great job. He wasn't the main focus of the movie but it was still good nonetheless. And I like Bill Pullman too. However, Bo- he looked like he does the Geico caveman ads *shudders* You will want to drink wine after this film. Shame I'm only 20. Ha ha.

And of course, did I mention the bonus Nobel Son trailer? And Jeremy Irons in cowboy suit goodness? He he.

So this evening, I watched No Reservations. Very cute. Liked it more than Definitely, Maybe which I saw a while back. Abigail is adorable. However, I felt sorry for the guy with the two boys- he had my vote. Heh.

Enchanted- VERY cute. Also very cheesy- don't watch with your boyfriends/husbands/brothers/fathers unless they're VERY devoted to you. Ha ha. Amy Adams is adorable and Patrick Dempsey- I'm sure I don't need to praise him. :D

Stealing Beauty- gorgeous scenery and Jeremy Irons eyecandy. Beyond that, I didn't like it much. I'm sure it's a very good 'coming of age' film but I found it boring and pointless.

Saving Private Ryan- not for the faint of heart but a very compelling movie. Surprisingly, I made it through the first 10-20 mins without flinching. Do I just not care or what? Anywho, it was really good. If you like war movies that tell good stories, go rent it.

A long time ago, I saw Run Fat Boy, Run. It wasn't my fav. Simon Pegg movie but it was still good and motivational. Ha ha. And Dylan Moran kicks everyone's butts. :D

Right now I'm reading Lolita. Well- reading along to Jeremy Irons reading my Lolita *drools* After that shall be the movie with Jeremy. He he.

Then I'll listen to James and the Giant Peach with him reading it, hopefully- have to order from a diff. library.

Also trying to get through Mansfield Park again so I can finally see Billie Piper's film version of it. But man, I find the book boring.

School starts Monday. Maybe the new belt, scarf, shirt, and ring I got today will help me feel better? Probably not though. Also, my laptop refuses to eject disc 3 of Lolita. Stupid computer. I can haz a nu oen?? Preferably a nice greeeeen one. :D
