Nothing's ever easy

Got my laptop back after a month without it. The powercord works.
Somehow, and God only knows how getting a power cord could possibly equal this- but all my files have been wiped. I don't even have the Microsoft Office package I once had. No pictures, no music, no fanfic that I started two days before my cord died and for some stupid reason, never saved on my jumpdrive.
I'm SO mad right now. I think the fanfic was pretty much the only important thing I lost...plus some college stuff that I really hope I have somewhere else.
The ONLY consolation, and it's a small one at that, is that I have some freaky re-vamped version of XP which I don't particularly like, probably just cuz I'm not used to it, but it has a cool real life looking fish aquarium. It's fun. But will soon be replaced by an Eddie or Alan themed My Pictures screensaver because they're prettier than fish.
And I'm REALLY not used to this keyboad now.
BLERGH.
OH. OH OH OH. Just realized what I've lost. A HUGE LOAD of internet favorites- mostly fanfics I REALLY wanted to read.
DAMN EVERYTHING. I've been swearing a lot this afternoon. And crying. And bitching.
