Movies and TV

I'm so sick of Blockbuster sucking like black holes in space.

Just found out about Hugh Laurie's movie Girl from Rio where he does the Samba!!!! And yet again, can I rent this? Nope.

I could probably get it through their movies to your mailbox program but you have to pay at least $9 a month, and netflicks might be $5 a month if I'm lucky (it was kinda confusing) but I only watch one movie every now and then. Maybe when I get a job I'll be able to fork money out for movies. *shrug*

GRARRRR.
.................

In other news, we rented Miss Potter the other day- it's a really good movie. Very moving, and funny at times too. :D\
...............

My friend told me about Regency House Party on PBA 30 and they're showing the last two parts tonight. It's like Manor House. 10 singles are made to date in regency England time. Isn't that really cool? I'm sad I missed the first two parts, but oh well.
...................

We were supposed to be getting cable back on Oct 1st but that's not going to happen for a while. At least I have House, Back to You, Pushing Daisies, Inspector Lynley, and Viva Laughlin to keep me busy. ;) (It's really the summer when nothing's on that you need cable. *sigh*) And why does Pushing Daisies have to be on the same time as Back to You? Back to You is SOOO funny. I think I'll tape Daisies and watch it later on.
.................

Oh, and I don't know if I said a while back, but The End of the Affair with Ralph Fiennes was on TV once and I was at a friend's house so Mum said she'd tape it for me. When I got home I went through the tape that was in the VCR and no movie. I was really upset. We couldn't figure out why it hadn't taped.

So then the other day, I was finding a tape to record something and voila- the movie was on there. Only thing is, it's only the second half of the movie. I'm def. not going to start watching from half way through the movie. *sigh* Still have no idea how that happened unless Mum didn't press record when she should have, but I trust that she would have. *shakes head* Whatever...

So yes, thank goodness for decent Fall line ups.
