That was close. Good thing I was at home.
Oh man. I am shaking like a leaf right now. There I was at the stove cooking up some rice pudding when I hear a strange sound from the living room. I turn to see blue and yellow flames licking the top of my little electric heater. of course I darted from kitchen to living room in a flash and kicked the plug out of the wall. I am waiting for the heater to cool down enough to take a look inside but it looks like a little bit of tinsel fell inside and burnt up on the element. I think it broke the element which is why the fire just put itself out with no damage to carpet or wall.
And to think, the last two nights I have left the heater on while I was asleep to keep the place warm overnight. That was a lucky, if not kind of scary, moment of chance.
