My husband and I are Americans who have been living in New Zealand for a few years. Although I like NZ, my OH is a bit restless here, and I am fine with moving, so we are considering a move either back to the states (probably Oregon) or across the Tasman. If we choose Oz, it looks like the Melbourne area would be the best option for a left-leaning vegan, but I have actually only been to Queensland, so I'm just basing that thought on what I've read online so far. I'd probably prefer somewhere a little smaller/cheaper, but then there are fewer opportunities for AR volunteering and such... Anyway, any thoughts on cities that we should visit and be investigating?
