Jeeeeze!
Mum is SUCH a hypocrite...i think that's the right word...whatever...
Thomas and I have been together for SIX months yesterday. I told mum as such. Said "wow, that's a long time huh?" and she goes "no, that's only a short time" in a tone that says "no, don't ask me if you can go on a holiday with him" (never mind that my cousin -who is the same age as me - is doing the same with her boyfriend, and the whole family is SO proud that Jen is growing up so fast)...anyway, mum doesn't want me to sleep over at Thomas' (no, she doesn't know that i do) cos we've only been together for a 'short' time...SHE GOT MARRIED TO DAD AFTER TWO MONTHS!!!! Besides, it's not like i'm setting a precedent for sneaking around behind my parents back. Hey, you could say it's a family tradition. Mum and dad saw each other for 2 months without letting either family know...THEN they ran away and got married...at least they told my maternal grandma first (like, a day or so)...I'm pretty sure that mum fulfills the criteria for being a hypocrite in this respect...
Besides, dad told me last year that he'd rather i lye to him than i tell him something he doesn't want to hear...sure thing dad, i mean you leave me no other choice!!
