I passed the 10k mark only to realise that I HAVE NO PLOT WHATSOEVER!!! ARGH! I have absolutely NO IDEA how the damn thing is going to end and I made the mistake of writing in first-person rather than my usual omni-present viewpoint. I have thus sacrificed a huge chunk of my usual writing style. Ok - I wrote 'Raina' and 'Conrad's bus trip' in first person but they were observant characters and I can't describe things the way I normally do with my MC. Who, may I add, has NO personality and I think is becoming a Mary Sue. *headdesk* Heather read it and said it was good but I don't know. Annie refuses to read even the first chapter and I think my prologue is THE worst bullshit I have EVER written in the entirity of my writing existence. I wrote a more compelling piece about a firetruck in kindy!
And I spent NO WHERE NEAR enough time working out what Ryjjil's actual personality is other than polite and subservient and he's turning out to be a WAY bigger character than I thought he would be! And Yukrin who I did detailed personality to is turning out to be really minor. I LOVED Yukrin, but she's not showing through, though that'll change.
Ok, I need some feedback.
Would it be really annoying if I switch first-person views every 5 chapters or so? To get their part's of the story down?
