Ugh. What a day indeed.
It started off quite good actually. I had a very decent nights sleep. Well, by my standards anyway. So I was nice and refreshed and ready for the day.
Then my sister called me when I was getting ready for work. That was good, I enjoyed the chat we had. And despite the lengthy chat we did have, I still made it to work on time. Well, 5 minutes early. Normally I'm 10 minutes early, but, you know... Sister stuff.
The morning at work went pretty quick. Nothing hard, but enough to keep me from being bored. Then I took lunch. Kind of didn't have much time to take much of a break though, had a few things to do. But then when I got back from lunch at around 3 is when things started to go all wonky.
The few deliveries I had to make weren't so bad. Not much and all relatively close. But then the boss lady had to go out to Etty Bay, which isn't too far, but still far enough that she would be gone for a while. And literally about 10 minutes after she leaves, there's like 10 customers at any given time with only just the two of us serving. The other two had gone home by this point due to the fact that they start in the obscene morning hours while the other girl and I are the closing shift.
So, for about two hours the two of us are just busy as all hell behind the counter, non-stop except for a couple of sparse breaks between rushes. That lasted until about around 5 - 5:15 or so... Not too long before the boss lady got back again. So when she did get back I was just like "You picked the best time to go out, didn't you?" XD
Anyways, the day finished an I was, and still am, buggered. It's not even midnight yet and I'm ready for bed. And I'm never ready for bed before midnight... XD
But the thing is that when i finally did get home after closing up the shop Patty was like "You don't ride to work, do you?"
An I'm like "huh?"
Then he tells me that my bike is missing. He noticed it was gone Saturday night when he got home, but I was out and he thought that I had gone to a friends place on it. When that didn't turn out to be the case due to the fact that I had the work Christmas party that night (which is where I was when he got home, and not at a friends place like he thought), it turns out my bike was stolen, most probably Friday night/Saturday morning...
If it weren't for the fact that I was too tired to care, and there was a 6 year old present I probably would have had a few choice words to say. But as it is now, blah. I'm still too tired to care.
But still. Fucking hell.
Sigh
Well, that was my slow degradation of a day. An now chances are that I wont be able to get to sleep until something like 3-4am or something like that, which will leave me dead for work tomorrow. Yay...
Cheers,
- Jay
