Try living on a shared wireless connection that only works a few minutes an hour at random intervals while in a foreign country. And 2 Kbps is a good connection.
No way to contact people, or look up information about your location. Oh the pain.
But the edge of the wastelands has been reached. I finally got an Optical connection, all 100 Mbps. You can read more about it at DSL or Optical? Why not get both?.
