An amazing story...

Once upon a time, in the year 2005, Cedar bought a house.  She was so excited because she had hoped and dreamed of the day that she could move her two cats, BK and Boony, into a house all her own where she would build them all a garden.  The three of them moved in, and Cedar begain painting and planning for the future.

After only two short weeks, Boony did not return to their new house after an early evening outside.  Cedar waited patiently the next morning, trying to stay hopeful that he would return.  When he didn't, she made "missing" posters and walked around the neighbhorhood calling his name.  She spent many moments crying.  One neighbor about 3 blocks away thought he had seen the handsome Boony, and Cedar went to that street every morning for 7 days and 7 nights and called his name.  She cried some more.

Some time passed, and Cedar decided it was time to stop looking for Boony.  Months passed, and there were less and less pictures of the orange and white cat on the fridge.  A year passed, and she quietly cleaned out her filing cabinet and got rid of all of Boony's vet records.  Two years passed, and she only spoke of him occassionally.

But one morning, Cedar got a phone call from a vet office many miles away.  An orange and white cat had been brought in that day as a stray, and when they scanned him for a microchip, they were able to locate Cedar's name and phone number.  Cedar cried again for her lost cat.  When she got to the vet, she found Boony in a kennel looking very tired and ragged.  After being shaved from head to tail and a short surgery to put a drain in an infected injury, Boony was ready to go back to his house.

Today, Cedar and Boony are sitting together on the couch.  BK, a bit put out to see her annoying little brother again, is alseep on the chair.  Boony's hair is growing back, and he is exploring the house that is barely a memory to him.

Cedar and Boony are very, very happy.
