Burn Baby Burn
Happy Saturday Flist!!!
I am going to the Outter Banks of North Carolina in a few weeks. It will be a great little vacation for me and my hubby with some friends from college. We'll be right on the beach with a pool and a hot tub and plenty of drinks...I plan on laying around for 4 days in my bikini.
However this is my issue: I freckle. I burn. I do not tan. I spend the majority of the year exquisitely white with the porcelain skin of any WASP from English/German descent and I am ok with this really....
However of the two other women that will be there one is busty, blond and very tan and the other is cute, tiny and Italian. I'm trying to be like them. I am what I am, however, I would like to not look like a ghost.
So have any of you ever used a tanning bed? Is it incredibly uncomfortable? Do you burn instantly? Is it totally not worth it?
Just the thought of it makes me cringe, but it would be nice to have SOME color on my skin before I'm at the beach.
