You said the key word there: fiancée. Tell ya what. Think of it like "rob from the rich to give to your stomach". The way I hear it, the proprietor of the Starscape is a hard-ass and a former outlaw himself. He won't miss it much, and it'll do a world of good better where it's being redistributed to.
