Mystery Bear
Thought I would post him here as well as my Tumblr, just in case we have any resident teddy bear experts :)
I found this "vintage" bear for cheap, he is definitely mohair, about 13 inches high, 5 jointed and with a working growler.
I went looking in my books because his muzzle shape (around the eyes) is very distinctive. I found this Steiff bear which was made from the 50s to the 90s in various sizes and colors, and seems to be a very close match.
Note the muzzle/eye shape, paw pad material and the lack of stitched "claws". If he really is a Steiff, he's missing both his tags and ear button.
