HAHA ohh thats interesting do tell... I have yet to hear any stories of, or be myself be stalked, (yes.. i am a guy.. but who knows.. it could happen :D)
Most times when i hear of things like that i just laugh, because it (i would imagine) be quite easy to get away from someone like that.
(Oh and at one point *i think*, that you mentioned that someone posting on your journal had the upper hand because well, they are reading your journal)... well it seemed natural to me, that for example, when ever someone posts on my journal that i dont know, i will of course ask who they are, but i also read THEIR journal as well. Just something that it seemed (based on your comment) that you might not have thought of/done.....
*side note on my own schooling*
Damn math to hell... grrrrr so the final is coming up which 40% of my grade. So out of the 60% that i have finished i only have 40... so.. basically if i get 100% on my final.. i can get a max of an 80% in the class.
While my teacher curves, i do not think that he will curve enough to make my grade bearable :|

... Or uses his LiveJournal to sound out his ideas rather than as a daily diary... ;)
I think that if you find that his IP address changes each time you log it, it would be a dynamic IP address. However, if he's the bloody fool you portray him as, I bet that he's only going to have a static IP address.

Haha, ok ok.. i concede, just thought id mention that, from the way it sounded from the wording of the comment... (and yes, i rarely write in mine as well, but thats only because i feel like that band who always plays at a cafe, and no one ever shows up to hear them.)
Oh, and the only way to know which IP adress he has, is to well, log his ip adress a couple times, and if it stays the same, then its most likely static.. if it changes often.. then its dynamic, and you are in the same situation as with the screen names... even if you could block each ip, its always changing, so it is a null point.
(oh and you grazed over the stocker info part... that was what i was most interested in :D)

The main problem is, does he (i assume its a he :) ) have a static (always the same) or a dynamic IP address?
If static then there *might* be ways to do it, if dynamic, then you are stuck.

Of course I've thought of/done this before. However, when it's someone who's new to LJ, or writes very little in his journal...
