(no subject)

Its monday and I have been to the hair dressers. My stylist had done it again and made a silk purse out of a sows ear! I think I am growing out my layers, much to Mr foxes delight who wants me to grow it as long as I can. Why do men love that? I think it can look pretty awful and pretty dated if your hair isnt in tip top condition...and mine isnt! I want it longer, about mid back, but no longer. If it starts to look lank its going shorter though. Having said that Ansuyas hair...oh my, hers probably cant grow any longer and looks stunning! Especially when she spins around whilst dancing! On the subject of hair I am also planning on having the black stripped out and going back to being a brunette. I have been bottle black for about 12 years...and its time for a change! I dont want to be one of those old women with black hair and white roots!!!

Its dance class tonight so I've got my trusty zills at the ready. I took them for a spin at the weekend when I did my gig, and I was quite pleased with how I did...having said that there is allways room for improvement!

I have been looking into importing costumes to sell. A freind who is Turkish made some enquiries about whole salers in Istanbul. Apparently postage can be about as much as an airfare...So I am planning a trip sometime next year. He has also said he will let suppliers know when I am going, and explain that I am a colleague of his , so hopefully I will get better prices. Right now, all dance money I earn (that isnt going to be taken by the inland revenue) is being saved up to buy stock.

So... I have decided to try and learn Turkish, if I can get a CD off eBay it will be a good place to start! Having said that, I am not ruling out trying to import from Egypt or the US. Its all along way off though as I have to finish a qualification I am doing with work, and raise the capital!

Also, I am finding myself more drawn to Turkish , rather than Arabic music right now. I found Turkish music quite difficult to dance to and connect with at first, but I am feeling instinctively more drawn to it. I dont seem to listen to western stuff much now. Not that I shun it on purpose, but I am just not quite so moved by it.
