A Thought(s)

The more I think of this idea that has been bouncing around my head the better it sounds... I'm thinking that I'll break up my current fic After the Darkness into two perhaps three sub-units. The leading reason for this is because I want to get the plot in full gear and then take a little break, work on other writings, and of course enjoy my graduation from high school and subsequent trip to Italy.

Digression: Yay! I'm going to Italy for three weeks...Isn't that great! I'll be mostly staying in one area with my family so I'll really be able to soak up the culture of North Eastern Italy. If anybody's curious, my family lives near Trieste which is right by Slovenia and Croatia, and about two hours from Venice. Trieste is really and interesting city with a rich history as a crossroads of civilization. It is really the only place in Europe where the continent's three great ethno-linguistic groups converge; those being Germanic, Romantic, and Slavic peoples. If you remember your history it was mentioned in Winston Churchill's 'Iron Curtain' speech as one of the edges of the curtain. AND it's been a really big locale for artists and authors, the most famous being James Joyce (who I'll admit I haven't read) Anyways...It's a really interesting place and I'm thinking I'll be able to draw inspiration from it.

Here's a picture nice picture from Wikipedia:

End of digression. Did you like the little HK touch?

Yeah, so I think that I'll write the next two chapters of After the Darkness; retitle it; do the above stuff, and then, hopefully return to the and finish the story as a slightly more mature author. Even if I don't get a chance to finish it completely, I'll at least make a somewhat satisfying conclusion.

I will say that as of now I'm crafting my as yet unnamed villain who I think is a rather good one. He'll do the usual outlaying of his plans, however, he'll be concious of it. He'll be driven by cool calculating logic rather than firey passions, which I hope will make him all the more scary!

I should really learn how to 'fake cut'. I now how to find out but I'm just lazy :)
