"I'm getting there!" she called, trying to zip the suitcase shut. "Can you make sure Juliet's actually not unpacking her stuff?"

"Making piles!" Juliet told him happily from a mess of toys.

"Let's pick two," Anakin tried, using the Force to repack the suitcase.

"It took me a half dozen tries to get across the causeway," he warned, glancing back at Rory, "so don't get too worried about that. It's just how things are right now."

"Frell," Anakin said softly. Ever since Aeryn and John had gone, Aeryn's slang had snuck back into his vocabulary. He walked over to Rory and wrapped his arms around her.

"Seems fine," she said, biting her lower lip. "But -- I mean, I worry about standing too close to a microwave. What's a weird causeway going to do to them?"

Anakin looked troubled. "I think it's better than the alternative," he said finally. "We can't stay here."

"We can't," Rory agreed, looking over at Juliet. "Okay. Let's go."

Anakin reached down to pick Juliet over her protests that she was a big girl and could walk herself, then waved the door open and the bags out into the hallway.
