How exciting! Rory checked the caller ID, and grinned.

"Helloooooooooooooooo."

"It's your second favorite Skywalker," Luke teased. "Happy birthday!"

"I do not rank my Skywalkers," Rory told him very solemnly. "Hi! Thank you!"

"I'd sing for you, but, um, I did enough of that earlier in the week."

Rory giggled. "Can I bribe Artoo for pictures? Peter Parker sent me one of your father."

[tatooine_doofus]

"We thought he played bass in the band," Luke said, "so I think he's giving them away."

"Happy birthday to meeeeee," she said, laughing.

"Would you like a copy of the newspaper, too?" Luke asked. "Peter has some kind of death wish, I think."

"Please?" Rory requested, still laughing.

"As a special birthday gift just for you," Luke promised. "How's Yale?"

"Normal," she replied. "I finally adjusted to my schedule and have been -- of all things -- sleeping."

Luke giggled inappropriately. "Is that what you call it?"

Rory blinked. "Call what?"

[tatooine_doofus]

"Never mind," Luke said quickly. "I guess you've heard about the weekend, huh."

"I have heard all kinds of awful things about y...people who were visiting, yes," Rory said.
