[Chapter 38-end]
Well, I've officially finished Order of the Phoenix. I'm going to have to reread it some time because I definitely got over-zealous at parts and read a little too fast for my liking. I just wanted to know what happened!!!
Due to popular request...here is a short summary:
So Harry Potter is back at 4 Privet Drive for the summer. Life pretty much suxors. After taking a walk in the dark to quench his emo, he meets up with Dudley and gets attacked by 2 dementors. Because he fights them off he gets called to a trial to see whether he should be expelled from Hogwarts due to his "reckless behavior". *mumblesI'llshowyourecklessmumbles* Dumbledore has been stripped of basically every award/place of high standing. The Daily Prophet makes it their business to completely discredit Harry and Dumbledore because Fudge is a paranoid sissy who can't come to grips that he is nothing and Dumbledore is right about everything...even Voldemort's return. *ahem* Meanwhile back at the ranch, they get a new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher--Professor Umbridge. She's one of Fudges cronies and basically is the way the Ministry can be all up in Dumbles' business. She's an old hag who always dresses in pink. Just, whoah. Anyways. The Ministry is afraid that Dumbledore is training his kids so that they can help him take over Fudge's position. During every class they just sit there and read a stupid text book. It's pretty much ludicrous. Well, Hermy comes up with this idea to have Harry teach them spells for DaDA--hence, Dumbledore's Army is created. The kids pwn, but are eventually turned by one of their own. Umbridge enrolls all the Slytherin toerags to be also up in people's business. Tis again...retarded. Sirius is sick of hanging out in hiding and Harry hates not being able to talk to him. Voldemort is now able to transfer his thoughts to Harry when his mind is week. Harry doesn't really try to stop this, but it's Harry Potter. He wants to know what's what so he can save the world. In the end, a big battle goes down in the Ministry and Voldemort vanishes to somewhere. Sound familiar? It should...it happens in almost every book. Harry finds out about the prophecy (the thing Voldemort was after) from good ol' Dumbles and proves that once again...Neville Longbottom is one awesome piece of boyflesh. Ever. Everything's better in the end because Umbridge goes crazy and the Ministry/Daily Prophet explains that Dumbledore and Harry Potter were right all along. The End.
