yeah, theres a difference between having your own opinion of yourself or your work, and critizing it harshly around other people that aren't as good..it's almost as bad as if they're bragging, kinda. I guess she was looking for attention, but didn't want to come off as though she thought she was better than anyone else? I dunno..
This reminds me of when I was in 7th-10th grade, and used to hang out with these two girls that were really (really) skinny, and I was kind of chubby compared to them..and they'd look at their butts in the mirror in the girls room, complaining about how big it is..?!?!?! I'd just be like "uhhh..thanx a lot." and they'd be like "awww you're not bad at all", and I knew I wasn't, but it still felt kind of insulting. silly girls *shakes head* But if they really were that dilusional, I think it would be best not to mention it at all, so the chances of people noticing are fare less.
when we have lessons with my regular class in art it's really surprising how hard it can be to control a pencil for some people
haha yeah, but it also has a lot to do with how well they're trained to actually see the object the way it is...you have to know how it really looks or somewhat understand how it works in different angles...I think that's one of the most important things I learned during my three years of arts and crafts during highschool, and it should be tought in normal art classes as well IMO :)
