Weird Birthday
Yeah, so yesterday was pretty interesting. I went to work, where everyone knew it was my birthday, and kept yelling it at me. It was a rather tame work day, thankfully, and we had our Thursday meeting. We had lunch, and they gave me a cake!! It made me really happy, because they're pretty much the only people I know up here, the ones I work with, and I got to celebrate with them! I got a few phone calls, from Eric and from Kate, which made me smile and laugh. I ran home to rapidly shower, and I got to talk with Ron online for a little bit before Margaret and RJ showed up. They took me out to dinner at Applebees, where they really liked to mess up my stuff. How do you forget the bbq sauce on a bbq chicken sandwich, honestly???? Then we went to the mall to get RJ some shoes, and to Pet Co, where we got some fishes (I got some more guppies for my tank.) We took RJ on a tour of the appartment, and then they left, leaving me at about 9:30, a surprizingly early night. Around 11, I found I couldn't keep my eyes open, but at 11:30 Ron called!! :) That was probably one of the most satisfying parts of the day. He got up at 7am his time to call me before my day was "officially" over. I was really glad to hear from him, even though I get to "talk" to him via webcams and voice chat almost every day, it was nice to not get that delay, and have some clarity.
So yeah, that was my crazy 22nd.
