the lady at the bank, k-mart and padding.

So my mom calls me and tells me that while she was at the bank today one of tellers was hugging all of the other tellers and saying goodbye to them and everyone looked pretty broken up.
Jokingly my mom went up to her and asked her how much better the pay was at her new job.
The woman smiled at my mom and said that she wasn't taking a new job, she was moving back to Brazil (where she was from originally).
She said she was going back to die. (!!!!)
And that her mother was dying too...
They were going to spend their final days together (!!!)
Apparently the teller has throat cancer and her mother has pancreatic cancer...both of which are incurable.

That was the saddest story I've ever heard. Imagine working at that back and having to say goodbye to your coworker...forever.

I need to come to better terms with death as it's inevitable.....has been for a while.
Hopefully that will come with age.

On a different note. I blew a couple of glorious hours at K-Mart today. I filled that shopping void, buying cheap crap and trying on things I knew I'd never buy. However, I bought a shirt on sale for 75 cents. I don't think I've ever bought clothing for only a number of 'cents'. I also bought a Hanes bra...it's surprisingly quite nice....very comfy! Wooo go Hanes.

Now I'm back to sewing....making up little excuses to take breaks and stare off into space.

Tomorrow is my period day. I've penciled "sick" into my planner so I wouldn't plan anything too exciting (these days exciting means lunch out).

Oh and as a result of my ongoing diet I officially lost my Italy weight.
I am no longer "fat" by my standards....just padded :)

*oucccch...faint ominous cramps*

I'm out.
