Our new alarm system is highly sensitive. =D
I was roasting a red pepper (for red pepper aioli for crab cakes) in the oven at 500 degrees. It set off my fire alarm! This never happened with the old system! Imagine my horror at having to explain to the monitoring system center girl who called me, moments after I canceled the alarm, that I do not really burn my food. Honest.
And please don't call the volunteer fire department! Cause the crab cakes aren't ready yet! What would I feed them? =D
