I've been MIA.....Sorry!
Yes yes....I know everyone has been getting frustrated with me. But hey..it happens. Trust me when I say I have very good reasons for why no one has seen me for almost a month.
First off, work has been insane. Off and on for almost a month now. It's so stupid. But whatever. I finally had a decent weekend off and I decided that I would get motivated to do something that our family has been struggling with for almost 6 months now.
POTTY TRAINING!!!!!!!
So Monday morning when Raegan got up, I sat her on her potty. She sat through lunch up until nap time. When she got up from her nap she was still dry, so I put her right on the potty and started plying her with watered down apple juice. 5 hours later, dinner had been eaten and it was getting close to bed time. Still no pee. She kept telling Mike that her belly hurt. Of course, cause she had to pee. Finally at around 8pm...she peed. We made the BIGGEST deal out of it and put s sticker on her newly printed sticker potty chart. I was SO happy! Tuesday went just about the same. We hovered close to the potty all day long. No pee was had till after nap time. That night my mom came over and took us out to dinner. I was nervous. Midway through dinner I asked Raegan if she had to pee. Amaseingly she told me yes and we ran off to the girls room. To my surprise she actually went in the potty there. When we got back to the table she proceeded to tell my mom...and everyone else within a 4 table radius...that she peed in the potty. The rest of the week went just as good. She figured out that she could go on the potty alone..with no help, and that ALL of the bribs people had offered to her were now fair game to be traded in!
That was two weeks ago. Today is the first day of Raegans third week being potty trained. Oh what a blessing! I think i'm happier now then when the Buckeyes won the National Championship. lol Yes...for those of you without kids...this is a MAJOR deal!
So that has been my past two weeks. Glued as close as can be to the nearest toilet and dealing with an overly excited child.
Work is begining to pick back up again to a more steady pace. I'm also looking to get a another part time job to try to help offset the down time around christmas. I've got a few leads, but nothing solid yet.
Well...that's about it.
I'll be keeping up to date more often from now on. I promise. =)
