I started out with this second Bachelor's in computer science, intending to transfer to California State University at Sacramento (aka "Sac State") in the fall of '09. However, because I've managed to keep my GPA so high (4.0 since I started attending American River College) I started thinking that maybe it would be worth my while to transfer instead to UC Davis. It's more selective, and has a strong engineering department. And it has made US News & World Report's rankings for colleges and universities:
From the UC Davis article at Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uc_davis "U.S. News & World Report 2008 America's Best Colleges ranked UC Davis the 42nd best university in the United States, 11th best public university in the United States, and 4th best of all the UC schools (after Berkeley, Los Angeles, and San Diego [3]). UC Davis is also the 3rd oldest campus of the University of California system, and is a Public Ivy institution of higher education."
Meanwhile, Sac State didn't show up at all in the 2008 rankings. :/
I think the only thing I hesitate about with UC Davis is that it is a heavy research institution, and that professors at those types of schools care more about their research projects than actually teaching students. I have heard from some that this means super huge classes led by TA's. I don't know how I feel about that.
At any rate, if I do choose to go to UC Davis, that would mean more math classes. If instead I went to Sac State, I would be done with math for a while after this semester taking Calc 2. But for UC Davis, I would have to take Calc 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. Not that I mind all the math -- just that it would mean more time spent at ARC before transferring.

Anyway, just had to put my thoughts somewhere before doing homework.
