So what to do, what to do? Democrat? Republican?
Who knows?
Well, I cannot clearly say who to vote for. I mean lets look at the candidates.
Hilary: Has a moderate amount of experience, and as a first lady her and Bill traveled the world meeting leaders. She is recognized and the Clintons are reasonably respected worldwide. So perhaps this name would be a good thing. On the other hand, she is clearly a washington insider, recieving more money from lobbyist and private industry than most of the other candidates. Also, she voted in favor of the Iraq war at its time of proposal which many others, including some republicans did not. A lack of personality except for the few "natural" (cough.... BULLSHIT) emotional moments pre-election days. Not a bad candidate but not great.
Obama: Something about Obama, sparks that idealistic youthful feeling very reminicent of Kennedy. But is he lacking experience. Also perhaps, sincerity? He lied about getting a bill passed in his state regarding nuclear regulations, it was merely proposed. He supports the end of the war in Iraq, but a bigger military. You would be hard pressed to find any kind of proposal in which he cuts anything from the budget. If he plans on making improvements without taking the money from elsewhere in the system, then if he really wants to "make his change" it looks like there is gonna have to be a big tax increase.. and all i have to say is FUCK that.
Romney: The rich smooth talking politician. He "revolutionized" the Massachusetts healthcare system forcing people to get private healthcare... So he forced people barely getting by to pay more money for healthcare which they cant afford. Small buisness are now going under for new regulations forcing them to insure workers.
If you go a hospital uninsured in Massachusetts you WILL get healthcare and be billed later, you will not be turned away. Thus, each year hospital incrue millions of dollars which is to be re-imburssed by the state yearly. Romeny cut that, so now hospitals like Worcester's UMass Memorial are left with over 90million dollars in unreturned costs. Where do you think this money is gonna come from. Hospitals will bill insurance companies and patients more to recoop costs. In turn insurance costs will rise making it even less affordable to get MANDATORY healthcare. GREAT JOB ROMNEY!
Huckabee: Southern Baptist Minister from Arkansas..... he doesnt believe in evolution.... solution to immigration is build a fence and shoot trespassers... i need not explain further
McCain: Hey, I like that he is sincere. He is not a flip flopper. He voted against the war in Iraq during its start. He is moderate, not extremely conservative regarding social issues. While of course i dont think he is liberal, he is not bible crazy and thats what we need from a republican. But at the end of the day, he does not support withdrawal from Iraq..
.....so in conclusion, we are left with a big pile of crap. I mean its better than Kerry vs. Bush which was probably the most frustrating election I can imagine in recent years. You got all the bumpkins voting for Bush so people know they are patriotic and people voting for Kerry just because they dont wanna vote for Bush.
Still though, i can't see Obama being great for the economy with all his spending, nor can i vote for anyone who wants to stay in Iraq. What to do?
EDIT: KATE SULLIVAN DO NOT KILL ME<3
