I am freaking exhausted. Working my Westlaw hours and trying not to fall asleep.
For those of you who don't know, Carlie got married this weekend. I've been going pretty much non-stop since Friday morning (at 4:30am). I'm actually pretty lucky though, all the travel things went smoothly. Flew out to Colorado and back and all the planes were on time. We (Michael went with because he's an awesome boyfriend) rented a car and that was really easy too.
The wedding was beautiful. She had a really wonderful fall day and everything was really nice. I wish I could say that I fulfilled by bridesmaid's duty of standing up for the ceremony well, but I now have the dubious distinction of being one of those people who almost passed out during the ceremony. I had to sit down. Luckily the alter was one of those with chair-thone type things lining the wall and I was able to sit there, as the other bridesmaids filled in the gap I left. But I figured everyone would prefer that I sit down than take out all the other bridesmaids, which definitely was about 3 seconds from happening. I felt so bad about it though. Luckily, Carlie and Mike didn't notice my trouble and when they found out, they thought it was hilarious.
The reception was awesome. The DJ was really great and the food was amazing. I had bison! Tastes like beef. And I had so much fun being with the girls again. We're planning on instituting an annual girls-weekend, which I think will be awesome.
All-in-all it was a good weekend, but all I want to do now is sleep for 3 days.
