Can Can Bingo....
So Mae came up from Portlandtown yesterday...a rainy- chocolate eye-ball filled work-day with a Matt Nathenson soundtrack..
**....Umi Sake house was a tad unwelcoming(missed communications)...but the Happy Hour was awsome- $4 crunchy cali rolls to die for and hot sake...although Mike Seely...one of the SW editors..stole my salmon nigiri and I don't know whether I'm over it yet...I was really cold & wet & then Ilene my other street team member left way earlier, but the Verizon folks were awsome to see- they'd been at the Triple Door before w/ me...they'd recently been through Vegas, Albequerque, Cali ect..
**...stopped by Chris & Cel's apt. since its downtown, had a riviting discussion about Girl 4 Girl and exclusion politics. Chris & I bussed up to cap hill so he could drop off some porn at work.
**..finally caught up w/ Whiz and his crazy schedule..am so glad he isn't working nights soon..he was like a zombie. Griffin was home for a bit, may go to the Killers w/ him later, but am eh about it, also his hand is sewed together w/ stitches now..it looks ouch. So many injuries lately- Chris's foot..Mae's foot...Grif's hand- I'd better watch out!
**..Whiz & I zipped down the the Can Can Kitchen & Caberet- I looove the waitresses outfits..got set up w/ some killer bingo blotters. & then yay- Mae showed up- hurrah! Bingo is somuchfun- i was reluctant at first, but I totally got into the zone. & I actually won! it is such a joke though- i won:(drum roll please...) an American flag, an America trivia game, and a 1784 or so plaque with G.Wash marching along with a cheesy slogan. Okay, so its gay bingo w/ funny prizes..but I have no idea what I'm going to do with that trivia game. God Bless...
**After Mae's friend showed we ran up to the NocNoc for her friend Jaime's burlesque show- I'd met her a few times before so it was good times all around. I gotta dance w/ crazy drunk goth kiddo's & felt a little overdressed- I wish someone would have warned me...I would have busted out the fishnets, alas. & Whiz met up w/ a Suicide Girl- he always seems to do that-the black dreds must be an SG magnet.
**after the NocNoc was closing up we headed to Minnie's- where Mae, Jaime, and her other friends used to work and ate wayy too much, oh we were totally ridiculous at this point- I didn't drink really- but I felt high from dancing around & there was just really good energy- plus I was pretty tired & out of it. I got peanut butter pancakes...mmmmm, so f'n delicious & V8 to sustain me.
...I'm so glad I went out...I almost didn't & barely planned on it at all, the nights that just spontaneously happen are the best....
Tonight is the Thermals w/ drunk nieghborboy Mike & his Pasco ladyfriend.
Saturday I work Girl4Girl w/ Jen-am so exited!
Sunday-Noiseshow w/ Maurice from the Contour... what an awsome line up- superstoked. who needs sleep?
