God, Mrs. Battenfield sucks. My grade in her class is steadily improving, but she keeps counting tardies as unexcused absences. I'm going to have to duke it out with her tomorrow so I don't get in any administrative trouble. Congrats to our new drum majors, although I didn't vote for any of the ones who won. Madeline, Matt, T.J, and Steven - best of luck next year - you might make it then! You guys have so much potential.
We did our two acts of Romeo and Juliet. Mrs. Mayo didn't like that we were fighting with ladles and spatulas (the play was set in a restaurant) but she did like most everything else. The worst part was I finished typing up the menus and whatnot but didn't write down my own lines. I memorized what I could and wrote down still others. Unfortunately, tired and stressed as I was, I flubbed a lot of my lines, and missed my whole large soliloquy. Then, I missed my cue for Lady Capulet and did general errors with Juliet, including speaking too fast. I memorized it so well and then bang! I fall, and it is all gone from my head. I hope I didn't screw it up for my group. We tried so hard.
