Family visiting for a couple of days now, but I brought my laptop with me, so no delays to posting. Winter (ie. snow) happened all of a sudden yesterday, but today the weather's been kind of awful, with hard cold winds and very slippery roads. Would be perfect for staying inside and writing, if my brain was a little less tired...

I hope that Yuletide fic of yours behaves soon! I've found reading very helpful when I'm stuck no matter where or with what in writing; for me, it works best if it's something entirely else, which just gives me new ideas, new emotions or practical ideas, depending on what I'm stuck or struggle with.
For me, again a day with just about 200 token words, as I was too busy to find any leisure. But without this challenge, I wouldn't have written anything at all, or sat down with my story, and having done so brought it onwards even if just a tiny bit. It feels good, if nothing else! :o)

It's true, reading something entirely different often helps get your mind out of a corner.
I'm glad the challenge is helping you to get some writing done even on a busy day! Even if you write just a little bit each day, it's more than nothing and helps bring the story onward, and makes it easier to write once you have more time for it. :-)

I wrote 500 words today, all of it for a blog post in a major review blog for my release at the end of the week. Feels cheaty but the business end of the publication game takes up a lot of time.
