Well the first night sucked
Ok so I went to amateur night at the play house. It blew ass! I was not impressed with the way they held the amateur night/auditions. There were 12 girls that signed up. Out of the 12 girls, only 3 of them were not looking for a job. So it was tough from the get go. We had 3 minutes and 50 seconds to show off what we could do. We were expected to get completely naked in the first few seconds. This is the norm at this "bar". I thought it was fucked up!
I was the 4th contestant in line which gave me a chance to see what would work and what wouldn't. However, that didn't help at all. I didn't place at all in the competition. Which sucks because the only way to get money is to place in the top 4. So after having to bear it all with no warm up and shake my thing for people who were quote"bored" I walked away with nothing because we were not allowed to take tips while we danced. If we did take a tip, or dance while we waited on the stage for our turn or the contest top be over we were disqualified. We were also told not to touch the poles while we danced since we were supposed to be amateurs.
So I had to wait for over an hour to find out that not only did I not win the crowd, but I also didn't get a job after pulling a muscle when I did the splits. Needless to say I was not happy when I left. But I tried to smile the whole time and keep my feelings to myself until I was in the parking lot getting ready to come to my current home at Ruby's.
I felt so stupid and like it was a waste of my time.
But after getting some sleep and something to eat I am working on looking at some of the other clubs in the area. I hope that they will work out better. I should be able to find work somewhere down here. (cross your fingers).
I will be calling around shortly to the other bars. I will keep you all posted as to how things go.
