(no subject)
Chiyo Okumura is my new found love. I loved her before, but now that I found out that I adore/know nearly all of the songs on the best of by her, I love her to a much more infinte extent! And reading the lyrics of 2 songs, "Gomen ne... Jiro" and "Watashi no Muno wo KNOCK shite", I learned the word "choudai", because she says it often in both songs. She's so gosh darn sexy too. I'd plaster my walls with 60s pictures of her. <3
OMG KINGDOM HEARTS. Boris has gotten to the Pirates of the Caribbean stage and I still miss Roxanne. Haley Joel Osment has a funny voice now. And OMGOODNESS, Christopher Lee!!
Any video game that quotes Disney movies enough for Boris and I to sing the whole begining of Beauty and the Beast ('till the very LAST line of "Belle") is a good one.
WTF is this "Sanctuary" song? HIKARU UTADA STOP WRITING ENGLISH LYRICS. THEY'RE BAD.
That said, I'm still in love-"Passion" mode. I don't care what anyone says about her losing talent and gaining like, ego or something, I've liked her DEEP RIVER and on stuff much more than I liked her first 2 albums. "COLORS" was one of my most played songs of 2003 and I still haven't grown tired of it. The Casshern song and "Be My Last" weren't so good though. Still haven't listened to Keep Tryin' though. Hmm.
OOH! So on Tuesday in Intoduction to Japan, my group (consisting of me and 2 other people) are presenting our group presentaion, on the History of Jpop! I made fun little 15 second clips of songs in iTunes too. YAY.
I get to do the 1946-1989 bit... in 5 minutes. x.x;
But that's ok, I will force Namiki Michiko, The Peanuts, Pink Lady and Hibari Misora on them, AND THEY WILL LOVE THEM.
And I unintentionally wrote 5+ pages of history on our handout. >.>;
But that's a crapload of history, so I think I did a good job of CONDENSING it. I kept visual kei to just a paragraph! That was hard. :o
OOH! Sunday morning, Boris and I went to a Russian bazaar at a VERY Russian church. I got a pretty Ukranian egg! And a Russian doll with SPARKLES! And I ate a REAL Cherry danish, and it was GOOD. And I tried some Borsh and my stomach felt weird afterwards.
But I love my Ukranian egg and Russian doll. They make my room look THAT much cooler. <3
