You're welcome to join the fanclub! Gooo Sakamoto sensei!

I've don't recgonize that DVD content thing. But then I still need to collect most of their videos. (I'm such a horrible fan, especially since I do consider them my favorite band everrrr.)
But the merveilles concert is funnn. I only had it on tape for the longest time and I got the DVD when Nippop Columbia decided to milk all the money they could out of MM fans in putting out these musical box sets. Boo for me in actually falling for it too. x.x; But yeah, Now I can watch it more often and not be weary that the tape player will go crazy or something. (Yay for your Kozi icon too!)

But if that X-Japan concert was the final live, the person who yelled that might've said after that "I hate you for joining a cult and splitting up X. Poo on you." At least that's what I'd say. :)

And now that I know the structure of the class, I doubt it'd be very interesting. Just more like "This is Enka. Misora Hibari was/is HUGE in Japan and here is a picture in the book." And just mostly about what's in the book, which isn't much. And I don't know if Hiramatsu sensei listens to much music. (I know Sakamoto sensei doesn't save for like, Yumi Matsutoya. And she doesn't know anyone in music before around 1990, when she came to America.)

But since I consider myself some what of a Jpop, er, connoisseur (5+ years of having no life and ranting, raving, learning, listening and posting about Jpop/rock will do that to a person. >.>;) I'd gladly tell you about/reccomend Jpop history and stuff. (Though the number of artists I know a LOT about are limited to mostly female solo artists once you get from the mid-80s to like, 1946. I've got a bit of a bias. >.>;)

... what's with me and writing a whole lot lately?

OMGoodness, that'd be awesome if you could! Thanks!
If you want for me copy anything from my collection, I'd be glad to. ^^ (I'm afraid I can't do DVDs though --I can't rip DVDs. :()

But Buck-Tick isn't recent~ they debuted in like, 1982! (if I remember correctly) They're always considered the grandpa visual kei band, giggle. (though I only really liked their stuff off of their album from 2003. (I think?) Haven't been able to pick it up yet though...)

But I was really into Japanese rock (specifcally: Visual Kei) for my first year and half into Japanese music, and I got tired of the run of the mil bands that came out. (yeah, I'm talking about you, Kagerou. xP) I still love a handful of bands (I acutally frequently think of/list the order of my top bands: MALICE MIZER, X, LUNA SEA, Aioria, cali gari, Lareine, Kagrra [though I lost track of them when they went major for some reason. o.O] and to a lesser extent L'Arc~en~Ciel [1999-ish and before]) but now I rarely look for new bands.

I've been CRAZY on the Jpop scene and its history after I got out of the "OMGILOVEGACKTNEKKID" stage. And especially its pop idols from Ayumi Hamasaki and before. However, I know OF a lot of artists who are big and bring out new music now, but I rarely listen to them/buy their music. I'm all about 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s girl pop. (which branched off into popular artists/albums in other languages. Which is no good for such a wide span of CDs to get when I'm a collection freak. ;__;) So much that I basically remember their sales figures and years of debut/CD release/peak of career. It's quite sad, really. =B... But I loves it. <333
