So far in the month of May (well if we want to count April too...)
New Car Battery
New Computer Printer
New Hot Water Heater
New (different brand) Antivirus Program
New Computer
So today, decide to fool with super leaky sink because keeping icky rag around the sink to stop water from spraying out was getting old. And I have a small bit of know how. Like small as in I could probably figure it out with a bit of help from the diy website and stuff. And it just needs a new washer and o-rings most likely. So...no problem right?
So off to local home improvement store with bag of parts to see what I'm replacing and get the right thing... Deal with pushy salesman trying to sell me a new faucet that would have the sprayer hose as part of the faucet thingie. Whatever. Yes my spout is corroded and not pretty. I've had enough to deal with right now. I just want my little washers and orings and stuff right now. If you had a new spout, maybe that. You don't? K-thanks.
Come home. Put on new o-rings. Put new filter on spout. Move to put spout on faucet. Spout breaks off in hand.
Well...pooh.
So now I definitely need a new faucet.
Oh, and probably a tetanus shot from where my hand got cut on the stupid sharp chrome at the breakaway point.
Oh, and there's no way *I* can put in the new faucet because the pipes are still the copper soldered together stuffins that's out of my purview. I mean, I have a pipe cutter, but to replace it...um...yeah. No, thank you. I know enough to know I don't know enough about that, nor do I have the equipment anymore. I sold it long ago. Plus needing plumber's putty and the...and yeah.
So now I need to buy a new faucet and pay my stupid plumber.
And my hand hurts. :-(
